What’s with the name?

Well, it’s my name! Let me explain:

I have been blessed to play golf since I was a young boy, about age 4. I played competitive golf worldwide growing up, and was able to play college golf at Brigham Young University. Early in my collegiate career, my coach, the legendary Bruce Brockbank, gave me the nickname, Gilly. Since then, the majority of my dear friends in the golf community know me as Gilly. Since this facility is, for me, the ultimate expression of my love for the game of golf and my passion to share it with the world, I couldn’t think of a better name. Hence, The Gilly.
