What’s with the name?

Well, it’s my name! Let me explain:

I’ve been blessed to play golf since I was a young boy, starting at just four years old. The game took me around the world competing, and eventually to Brigham Young University, where I played collegiate golf. Early in my career there, my coach—the legendary Bruce Brockbank—gave me the nickname Gilly. From that point on, most of my closest friends in the golf community have known me by that name.

Since this facility is, for me, the ultimate expression of my love for the game of golf and my passion to share it with the world, I couldn’t think of a better name.

Hence, The Gilly.
